MEG: EVALUATION: QUESTION 5

How did you attract/address your audience?

We encountered a lot of audience feedback using Survey Monkey, which helped us very much.

We really considered what others had to say, especially with:
- the character build up
&
- the narrative of our film.

We asked people if they liked the plot to our film and if they would like to see what happens next, out of 40 people, 36 of them responded positively, the other 4 people gave us constructive criticism which we took into consideration when creating our film.

I think we got so many positive results because it is about young adults, and we aimed the questions around that age. It's also a very open film opening with endless ideas for an ending, which leaves the audiences imaginations to wander off into an enigmatic sense of mind. This will endure our audience as it will be a new journey for them.

Our film is aimed at an audience who would be interested in murder mystery investigations. In our film our plot is revolved around exactly that.

The character we built called "Elijah" is a very sly, smug character, who has something to hide. This is shown through the use of camera shots. During the interrogation, we are introduced to a close up of Elijahs face. This is to capture the real smug look on his face. This will reel our target audience in as it will raise the enigma of the character leaving you to making your own decisions about him. He has very difference facial expressions all the way through this scene showing our audience the different sides to him.

He looks like an average guy, however we tried to make him look like he was sleep deprived, and didn't take much care of his appearance. His slicked back hair almost makes him look dirty, as though he tried to hard to look good for this interrogation, but he still has a lot of confidence.
Within stereotype, killers in thriller films tend to look either normal but lack some mentality or are completely disfigured in the face - for example wounds/scars.

Our character is very different to a lot of murderers in thrillers because he does have multiple sides to him rather than just one which is often the case. Elijah is quite the unpredictable type, and you never know where he might go with his story. I feel our audience will build quite the rapport with this well thought out character.
